PROJECT: STRIKE OUT HEART DISEASE
Annually, in the month of February The Divas' host their " Strike Out Heart Disease" Awareness event. This project was implemented to increase the awareness of signs, symptoms, and risk factors to heart disease for both men and women. This is a family event in which all communities are welcomed to participate. There is registration fee for those who would like to participate in the bowling tournament and to receive a Heart Disease Awareness T-Shirt. A portion of the proceeds raised during this event are donated to East Alabama Cardiac Rehabilitation Center/Heart Disease Awareness Foundation. POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC
PROJECT: MENTORING
In addition, to the other platforms, the organization set aside time to volunteer time with local agencies to mentor young girls in community. The " Diva Mentor" day consist of things such as: Breakout session on a specific topics, games/icebreakers, group project, refreshments, and gifts for the young ladies participating.
PROJECT: COMMUNITY WELLNESS
The Destinasion Divas' partnered with Eminent Solutions, Inc. to bring awareness and resources from a medical perspective to the community in the form of health fairs. Medical conditions of : Arthritis, Diabetes, and Hypertension are targeted.
PROJECT: TAKE CARE OF OUR ELDERS
Taking care of those who once took care of us is extremely important. That is why, The Divas devoted the time to visit with the elderly in local nursing homes and prepare meals during the holiday seasons.

PROJECT: BACK TO SCHOOL
The annual "Back to School" event is held in August. It was developed to assist families in the local community with free school supplies for their children. The children are able to receive backpacks, writing utensils, folders, writing paper, and water bottles to be equipped for the upcoming school year. In addition, families are able to receive additional items through entry of raffle drawing which could provide a laptop, tablet, or money for school clothing.
PROJECT: SKATE 4 A CURE
During the month of October of each year, the Divas host a community event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. The theme entitled " Skate for a Cure" joins families together for a day of fun together. There is skating and games for the children; while celebrating the Breast Cancer survivors, and receiving material to enhance knowledge of the disease/risk factors and treatment options. A portion of the proceeds raised during this event is donate to East Alabama Medical Center Breast Cancer Research.
